Day 3 – Old Post, New Day (Events and Improvement)

January 30, 2013 in General, Ruins of Sterling

Creating events in RPG Maker is easy. The hard part is making them the perfect way you want them to go. Such as dialogue conversations and other cut scenes  As much as I hate trying to make them perfect, it never will be. There’s always something you can improve on everything. Video games are no exception to this.

Events in RPG Maker are just things that happen to you throughout the game. Weather it’s a specific monster battle to just allowing you to leave or enter places. I may be new when it comes to game design/making, but I’m no fool when it comes to making a driven story with great cutscenes and other cool stuff to make you want more.

I have to play my game over and over again each time I do something new to make sure it plays out the way I want it to so it looks nice and fluid and not just– OH LOOK! A BATTLE SEQUENCE THAT’S SUPPOSE TO TAKE PLACE MIDWAY IN THE GAME!!

So I’m constantly playing my game, I don’t grow dull of making this game because everything I do excites me. They make me wanna do more with the game and push the boundaries that other games haven’t.

No pic today guys, maybe next time. I’ll see you guys later!
